The National All Breeds Junior Heifer Show is proud to partner with GB Livestock to offer one outstanding competitor the opportunity of a lifetime through the GB Livestock Junior Show Exchange.
Designed to develop the next generation of cattle industry leaders, this international exchange combines global exposure, practical cattle experience, mentorship, and personal development through opportunities in both Canada and Australia.
👤 Who Can Apply?
✅ Aged 18 years or older by the time of international travel
✅ A registered 2026 NABJHS competitor
✅ Passionate about the cattle industry and eager to learn
✅ Willing to travel and represent NABJHS and GB Livestock professionally
✅ Demonstrates strong work ethic, initiative, leadership, and teamwork
🌍 About the Exchange
The GB Livestock Junior Show Exchange provides a unique opportunity to experience cattle breeding and showing on an international stage.
The successful recipient will have the opportunity to travel to Canada and work alongside respected cattle breeders while gaining exposure to some of the world's leading livestock events and junior programs.
The exchange also includes hands-on mentorship with Grant Bulloch and Annie Pumpa of GB Livestock, providing valuable insight into cattle preparation, livestock marketing, and the Australian show industry.
📆 Exchange Timeline
The exchange will be undertaken at a time determined by GB Livestock and the successful applicant, subject to travel schedules, host availability, and event dates.
Australian mentorship opportunities may occur at either the 2026 Melbourne Royal Show or the 2027 Sydney Royal Easter Show.

🐮 Hands-on experience with leading Canadian cattle operations
🎪 Attendance at a Canadian Junior Show, Farmfair International, or Canadian Western Agribition

💼 What's Included?
✈️ Return airfares to Canada
🏡 Up to a two-week placement with a suitable Canadian host family, stud, or cattle operation
🎟️ Entry into a Canadian Junior Show or attendance at a major livestock event
🤝 Up to one week of mentorship with GB Livestock
🐂 One week working alongside GB Livestock at either the 2026 Melbourne Royal Show or the 2027 Sydney Royal Easter Show

🏆 When Will the Recipient Be Announced?
📢 The successful applicant will be announced during the 2026 NABJHS Presentation Ceremony on Sunday, 6 September 2026.
📜 Terms & Conditions
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by the time of international travel.
- Applicants must be registered competitors of the 2026 National All Breeds Junior Heifer Show.
- Applications close at 12:00 PM on Monday, 6 July 2026.
- Applicants must participate in a pre-event interview via Google Meet.
- Applicants must be available for informal interviews during NABJHS.
- Applicants must clip an animal from start to finish during NABJHS.
- The successful recipient must be willing to travel within the agreed timeframe.
- The exchange is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
- The exchange must be undertaken as scheduled and cannot be deferred.
- All travel, accommodation, host placements, event attendance, and mentorship arrangements are at the discretion of GB Livestock and subject to availability.
- The exchange is subject to securing a suitable Canadian host placement.
- The successful recipient is expected to positively represent NABJHS and GB Livestock at all times.
- GB Livestock reserves the right not to award the exchange if no suitable applicant is identified.
- International travel requirements, visas, insurance, and airline availability may impact final arrangements.
- The successful recipient may be required to participate in promotional activities, including photography, video content, and post-exchange reporting.
Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed and assessed by Grant Bulloch and Annie Pumpa of GB Livestock. Shortlisted applicants may be invited to participate in an interview prior to the successful recipient being selected.

Held annually at the scenic Blayney Showground in New South Wales, NABJHS offers a four-day program filled with educational workshops, practical demonstrations, and competitive activities. Open to young people aged 5 to 25, the event caters to all experience levels—offering something for first-timers and seasoned show competitors alike.
