The GB Livestock Show Exchange is a prestigious opportunity offered to one standout competitor from the 2025 National All Breeds Junior Heifer Show (NABJHS). This award provides international exposure, hands-on mentorship, and invaluable experience with leaders in the global cattle industry.
🌍 About the Exchange
This unique international experience includes:
- ✈️ Travel to Canada to work alongside elite cattle breeders
- 🎪 Participation in either a Canadian junior show or Agribition/Farmfair
- 🤝 Mentorship with GB Livestock, including:
- Up to 1 week on-farm in Braidwood prior to Sydney Royal
- 1 week at the 2025 Sydney Royal Easter Show

🌟 The Inspiration Behind the Program
In 2014, at age 18, Grant Bulloch travelled to Canada for six months, working with some of the industry’s most respected operations — Lewis Farms, 6 Mile Ranch, and Harvie Ranches. This life-changing journey deeply influenced his career and inspired him to support the next generation of livestock leaders.
This exchange is his way of giving back — by offering a life-changing experience to a young Australian passionate about the cattle industry.
🎯 Purpose
The GB Livestock Junior Show Exchange is designed to:
- Empower young cattle enthusiasts through international opportunities
- Foster leadership, work ethic, and advanced cattle knowledge
- Build meaningful global connections within the livestock sector
- Inspire and elevate the next generation of breeders and professionals
🏆 Award Inclusions
The successful recipient will receive:
- Return airfares to Canada
- A 2-week placement with a suitable host family or stud (pending availability)
- Entry into one Canadian junior show or attendance at Agribition/Farmfair
- Up to 1 week mentorship with GB Livestock on-farm in Braidwood
- 1 week mentorship with GB Livestock at the 2025 Sydney Royal Easter Show
✅ Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be 18 years old by the time of international travel
- Be a registered competitor at the 2025 NABJHS
- Submit a completed application by Monday, 30 June 2025
- Be available to travel within the set timeline
- Be willing to attend a Canadian junior or major agricultural show (as arranged)
- Participate in a pre-show interview via Google Meet
- Be open to conversational interviews during NABJHS
- Clip an animal from start to finish at NABJHS
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and respectful behaviour
🧭 Selection Criteria
Applicants will be evaluated on:
- Involvement in shows, personal qualities, and teamwork
- Initiative, work ethic, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Clarity of goals, ambition, and long-term vision
- Communication and presentation skills
- Quality and completeness of written application
- Performance during the interview process
⚠️ Conditions of the Exchange
- The exchange is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash
- The experience must be undertaken as scheduled, with no deferrals or postponements
- The award is conditional on the recipient’s continued enthusiasm, initiative, and active engagement.
GB Livestock reserves the right to withdraw the award if these qualities are not maintained - All arrangements (flights, host placement, mentorship) are at the discretion of GB Livestock and subject to:
- A suitable Canadian host match
- The recipient’s ability to positively represent the GB Livestock brand
- GB Livestock reserves the right to withhold the award if no applicant meets the expected standard

- Application Deadline: Monday, 30 June 2025
- Recipient Announcement: Sunday, 7 September 2025 (during NABJHS Presentation)
