The National All Breeds Junior Heifer Show is proud to offer the Farmfair International Team Selection, providing young Australian beef industry participants with the opportunity to represent Australia internationally while developing their leadership skills, industry knowledge, and global networks.
This opportunity is designed for passionate young people who are actively involved in the cattle industry and are committed to personal growth, teamwork, and industry leadership.
👤 Who Can Apply?
✅ Aged 18–25 years as at 1 November 2026
✅ A registered competitor at the 2026 National All Breeds Junior Heifer Show
✅ Actively involved in showing, judging, fitting, clipping, public speaking, or other beef industry activities
✅ Able to travel internationally and hold, or be willing to obtain, a valid passport
✅ Willing to commit to team preparation activities and represent Australia professionally
🌍 About the Program
The Farmfair International Team Selection provides participants with the opportunity to be considered for an Australian team attending Farmfair International in Canada.
Selected team members may participate in educational, leadership, industry, and cattle-related activities while building lifelong friendships and connections with young producers from around the world.
📆 Program Timeline
Successful applicants will form part of the Australian team attending Farmfair International, with travel dates and program details communicated following selection.
Participants may be required to attend team meetings, fundraising activities, sponsor engagements, and preparation activities prior to departure.

💼 Costs & Funding
There is no cost to apply for the Farmfair International Team Selection.
Selected team members will be responsible for costs associated with participation, including:
✈️ International and domestic travel
🏨 Accommodation
🍽️ Meals and incidental expenses
🛡️ Travel insurance
📘 Passport and visa requirements (where applicable)
Any sponsorship opportunities, fundraising activities, grants, or financial assistance available will be communicated to selected participants as they arise.
🏆 When Will the Team Be Announced?
📢 Successful team members will be announced during the 2026 NABJHS Presentation Ceremony on Sunday, 6 September 2026.
📜 Terms & Conditions
- Applicants must be aged 18–25 years as at 1 November 2026.
- Applicants must be registered competitors at the 2026 National All Breeds Junior Heifer Show.
- Submission of an EOI does not guarantee selection.
- Team selection will be based on the submitted EOI and participation throughout NABJHS.
- The Senior Herdsperson will select the team and all decisions are final.
- Selected participants are responsible for all costs associated with participation unless otherwise advised.
- Selected participants must conduct themselves professionally and respectfully at all times.
- Team members are expected to act as positive ambassadors for NABJHS, the Australian beef industry, and program partners.
- Participants may be required to attend meetings, fundraising activities, sponsor engagements, promotional opportunities, and team preparation activities.
- NABJHS reserves the right to withdraw a participant's selection if they fail to meet expected standards of behaviour or participation.
- Selection is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other benefit.
- Participants who withdraw must notify NABJHS as soon as possible.
- NABJHS reserves the right to appoint replacement team members from the original applicant pool.
- Participation is subject to travel, biosecurity, event, and international travel requirements applicable at the time of travel.
- NABJHS reserves the right to amend the program, selection process, or these terms and conditions if required.
- NABJHS reserves the right not to select a team if applicants do not meet the required standard.
- NABJHS reserves the right to withdraw the opportunity if circumstances beyond its control prevent the program from proceeding.
Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed through the submitted Expression of Interest and competitor participation during the 2026 National All Breeds Junior Heifer Show. The successful team members will be selected by the 2026 NABJHS Senior Herdsperson.
