The National All Breeds Junior Heifer Show (NABJHS) has been invited to nominate four outstanding young Australians to represent our country at the first-ever B.E.E.F. (Bringing Excellence & Education to the Forefront) International Youth Livestock Competition, taking place in November 2025 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
This inaugural event marks a major milestone in international youth engagement, and we’re proud to ensure Australia has a strong team on the global stage, joining the best young cattle leaders from around the world.
Event Overview
Held in conjunction with Farmfair International, the B.E.E.F. International Youth Competition is a multi-day, team-based event featuring a range of practical and leadership-based challenges, including:
- Showmanship
- Cattle Judging
- Public Speaking
- Team Marketing & Branding
- Clipping & Fitting
- Quiz Bowl

This is a unique opportunity to develop your skills, grow your confidence, and connect with future leaders in the global beef industry.
Costs & Funding
There is no cost to enter the competition. Participation is generously sponsored by Farmfair International. Farm Fair will refund $1000 CAD as part of the International Travel Reimbursement program.
Selected competitors will be responsible for covering:
- Return international flights
- Accommodation

Some meals and incidentals
While NABJHS is not offering direct financial assistance, we are committed to supporting the team through:
- Coordination and logistics
- A team coach
- Promotional materials and fundraising assistance

Letters of support for sponsorship opportunities
We encourage all selected competitors to fundraise and seek support from local communities, industry sponsors, or breed societies, and NABJHS will assist where possible.
Eligibility Criteria
- We are looking to select four competitors, ideally from a range of breeds, who are:
- Aged 18–25 as of November 2025
- Confident, team-focused, and passionate about representing Australia
- Demonstrated in one or more of the following areas: cattle judging, public speaking, fitting, or showing
- Able to commit to international travel and fundraising efforts

Hold (or be able to obtain) a valid passport and travel insurance
Selection Process
Participants will be selected based on their skills, professionalism, and attitude displayed across the three days of NABJHS. Selection will be made by a panel of anonymous judges observing throughout the show.
