We’re thrilled to offer an exclusive, tailored internship for one lucky 2025 NABJHS participant! If you're aged 18–25 and ready to explore what happens beyond the farm gate, this 4-week program will open doors to the entire red meat supply chain — from feedlot to food service.
👤 Who Can Apply?
✅ Aged 18–25 (must be 18 by December 1, 2025)
✅ Must be a registered 2025 NABJHS participant
✅ Passionate about agriculture, livestock, food production or ag innovation
✅ Ready to travel 🚗 and commit to a hands-on, real-world experience
🏢 About the Internship
In partnership with Bindaree Food Group, one of Australia’s most respected vertically integrated red meat companies, this internship will take you behind the scenes of the beef production pipeline — paddock to plate.
📆 Duration
🕓 The internship runs for 4 weeks and will be undertaken between December 2025 and July 2026, at a time agreed upon between Bindaree and the successful applicant.
🗺️ What You’ll Experience
Each week explores a different stage of the red meat supply chain, experienced across various Bindaree sites.
- Week 1: Feedlot Operations at Croppa Creek (NSW) 🐮
- Week 2: Primary Processing at Inverell (NSW) 🔪
- Week 3: Retail, Distribution and Sales in Burleigh Heads and Brisbane (QLD) 🛒
- Week 4: Corporate Services and internship recap in Inverell (NSW) 💼
💬 You’ll meet industry professionals, build hands-on skills, and gain a real-world understanding of the journey from paddock to plate.

📢 The successful applicant will be officially announced at the 2025 NABJHS Presentation Ceremony on Sunday, 7th September.
📜 Terms & Conditions
- Applicants must be aged 18–25 as of December 1, 2025.
- This opportunity is open exclusively to NABJHS participants.
- The internship involves interstate travel – applicants must have access to their own transport.
- Accommodation and meals will be provided by Bindaree.
- Applicants agree to participate in photography, video and media content as part of the program for promotional use by NABJHS and Bindaree.
- The selected intern must complete a short written or video reflection on their experience for inclusion in NABJHS and Bindaree communications.
- This is a non-paid internship. The estimated program value, including training, travel support, accommodation and meals, is $8,000.
- The internship is not redeemable for cash and cannot be exchanged for any other offer or monetary value.
- NABJHS and Bindaree reserve the right to not award the internship if, in their view, no suitable candidate is identified.
- NABJHS and Bindaree reserve the right to amend the program schedule if necessary.
- Timing: to be undertaken between December 2025 and July 2026 (at a time as determined by Bindaree and the successful applicant).
- During the internship, the selected intern must comply with all Bindaree policies, directions and site requirements (including the requirement to have a Q Fever vaccination prior to accessing a Bindaree site, if not already immune).
- The selected intern must enter into an appropriate agreement with Bindaree to reflect Bindaree’s requirements and to govern the internship.
