The National All Breeds Junior Heifer Show is proud to partner with Bindaree Food Group to offer an exclusive internship opportunity for one outstanding NABJHS participant.
If you're aged 18โ25 and keen to explore the beef industry beyond the farm gate, this unique four-week internship provides hands-on exposure to the entire red meat supply chain, from feedlot to food service.

๐ข About the Internship
In partnership with Bindaree Food Group, one of Australia's leading vertically integrated beef companies, this internship provides an opportunity to experience multiple sectors of the red meat industry and gain valuable insight into the journey from paddock to plate.
๐ Duration
The internship runs for four weeks and will be undertaken between December 2026 and July 2027 at a time agreed upon between Bindaree and the successful applicant.

Each week focuses on a different stage of the red meat supply chain across various Bindaree locations.
Week 1: Feedlot Operations โ Croppa Creek, NSW ๐ฎ
Week 2: Primary Processing โ Inverell, NSW ๐ช
Week 3: Retail, Distribution and Sales โ Burleigh Heads & Brisbane, QLD ๐
Week 4: Corporate Services and Program Review โ Inverell, NSW ๐ผ
Throughout the internship, you'll work alongside industry professionals, build practical skills, and develop a deeper understanding of the Australian beef supply chain.

๐ When Will the Intern Be Announced?
๐ข The successful applicant will be announced during the 2026 NABJHS Presentation Ceremony on Sunday, 6 September 2026.
๐ Terms & Conditions
- Applicants must be aged 18โ25 years as of 1 December 2026.
- Applicants must be registered competitors of the 2026 National All Breeds Junior Heifer Show.
- The internship involves interstate travel and applicants must have access to their own transport.
- Accommodation and meals will be provided by Bindaree Food Group.
- Applicants agree to participate in photography, videography, interviews, and promotional content relating to the internship.
- The successful applicant will be required to provide a written or video reflection following completion of the program for use in NABJHS and Bindaree communications.
- This is an unpaid internship. The estimated value of the program, including accommodation, meals, training, and mentorship, exceeds $8,000.
- The internship is not redeemable for cash and cannot be transferred or exchanged.
- NABJHS and Bindaree reserve the right not to award the internship if no suitable applicant is identified.
- NABJHS and Bindaree reserve the right to amend the internship schedule or program structure if required.
- The internship must be completed between December 2026 and July 2027 at a mutually agreed time.
- The successful applicant must comply with all Bindaree workplace policies, site requirements, and safety procedures.
- A valid Q Fever vaccination (or proof of immunity) will be required prior to accessing Bindaree processing and feedlot facilities.
- The successful applicant will be required to enter into an internship agreement with Bindaree Food Group before commencement of the program.
Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed and shortlisted by Bindaree Food Group. Shortlisted applicants may be invited to participate in an interview prior to the successful recipient being selected.
